Title

Interview with Mulin Huan

Description

Mulin Huan, a sophomore at Princeton High School, recalls first hearing about the COVID-19 pandemic on Chinese news media. As a Chinese-American, he notes that he has long kept up with both Chinese and American news sources, something that continues through the pandemic. Once PHS shut down, he notes that it was a big adjustment moving to remote learning and that his AP exams were also affected. In some of his free time, he is gardening much more. He reflects that the pandemic seems to have brought people together, but he was disappointed with the response of national and other government entities not responding quickly enough to the crisis. He wants people in the future to know not to underestimate pandemics. He looks forward to getting together with friends and going to amusement parks when this is all over.
